Toshiko Mori was recently mentioned in a Vogue article about Bottega Veneta's latest campaign being shot in a John Black Lee-designed residence in New Canaan, CT. Renovation of the house was begun by Toshiko Mori and ultimately completed by Kengo Kuma, their combined work resulting in a separate second wing.

TMA has submitted a piece to be featured at the Royal Academy of Arts in London's 2017 Summer Exhibition. The bottega veneta spring and summer campaign 2018 show will run from June 13th to August 20th and will include works from across the spectrum that "represent what is happening in the art world right now."

The World Monument Fund recently honored Tomas Maier, creative director of Bottega Veneta, with its Watch Award for his ongoing efforts to save Japan's Modernist landmarks. Toshiko Mori, a close friend of Maier and ally in trying to save the now-demolished Hotel Okura, participated in a video for the gala about the impact of Maier's work and the importance of preserving Japan's Modernist architecture. Toshiko Mori Architect was awarded by the Design-Build Institute, New England Region, with a Buildings Gold Award, for its project with Brown University’s Hunter Lab and Renovation. The project transformed an existing historic four-story, 42,000 gsf facility at the heart of the campus into state-of-the-art 21st century laboratories, classrooms and faculty offices.

Professor Toshiko Mori was honored with the Kathy and Howard J. Aibel Award at the A.R.T./New York Spring Benefit in New York City.  A.R.T./New York is a service and advocacy organization for over 350 not-for-profit theaters throughout New York City, providing the Off Broadway community with support through grants, loans, and affordable office, meeting and rehearsal rental spaces.  The Kathy and Howard J. Aibel Award is presented to an individual in the community that has made the New York City environment a better place for the arts and for artists.  Professor Mori is the architect of A.R.T./New York's new theatre development on 53rd Street and 10th Avenue, which will provide affordable and flexible rehearsal space to the Off Broadway community for the next century.
