If you want to see the hair sights of the Big Apple, there are a few you simply cannot miss. Many people come to New York for one thing - the shopping - and they will not be disappointed. Fifth Avenue is a shopper’s mecca where alongside high-end brands, the iconic subterranean Apple Store can also be found here. Another shopping spot is Madison Avenue; here you’ll find Jimmy Choo, Christian Laboutin, DKNY along with a whole host of other designer stores. Nearby you’ll also find Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, two of New York’s best known department stores.
Seeing a show on Broadway is a must. The heart of the Big Apple’s theatre district offers a range of shows including musicals, comedies and drama. When combined with some of the superb dining available nearby, it’s a night out to remember. When it comes to cuisine Little Italy and Chinatown have their own obvious specialities and the iconic hot dog vendors that feature in all the movies can be found on many streets. The popular hot dog is also a great mid-game snack at the Yankee Stadium should you have the pleasure of catching a game.
In New York the best way to get from A to B is the subway. Though there are streams of the iconic yellow NYC taxis, traffic can be unpredictable at the best of times and its sheer volume of traffic means progress can be slow. You can also take a water taxi along the Hudson River or opt for the Staten Island Ferry.
