John F. Kennedy, Jr.: College Commencement Speech (1999 Address to Students)
JFK Jr.’s College Application and Jackie Kennedy's Letters to His Professors Are For Sale
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis lived an accomplished life as the First Lady to the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, but she never neglected her duties as a mother. As first reported byPage Six, historical document dealer Gary Zimet acquired John F. Kennedy Jr.’s application to Brown University and letters Jacqueline wrote to school administrators, which show just how involved she was in her son’s studies.
In a handwritten letter, dated July 2, 1980, Jackie wrote to a school official named Ms. Romer about John Jr.'s inability to complete two courses that would allow him to finish his freshman year in good standing.
“John is in Africa and not expected to be home until the 3rd week in August,” Jackie explained.
